Bone Pen (5)
Bronze Pen (4)

Since the Middle Ages, the equipment of the merchant who knew how to write included his personal seal as well as writing utensils: the wax tablets used for writing were placed in wooden frames that were bound in a leather cover like the leaves of a book. Typical of writing pens made of bronze or bone are spatula-shaped widened ends that were used like an eraser pencil.
