Showcase
Display Case 39
Hatchet, Dagger (5,6)
Ornamental Hump (7,8)

In a burial mound examined in 1933, a Bronze Age warrior's grave with the complete armament of a man was discovered under a thick stone pack. The rich equipment marked the special social rank of the deceased. The sword and axe are forms that were common in southern Germany; they point to contacts in the region south of the Main. The arrangement of the finds in the display case approximately corresponds to the original find situation.
