Folding chairs are among the great rarities of the Bronze Age in Northern Europe. So far, only 16 chairs are known, all of which were excavated in the 19th century. Although only the bronze and gold fittings, decorative nails and rattle plates have been preserved, they nevertheless allow a clear reconstruction of the wooden frame.
