In the course of the construction of the underground railway, archaeological excavations took place at the Alter Fischmarkt in 1958/59. About 400 metres from today's station, archaeologists discovered two unusual-looking bones of a cow. They are so-called skate bones, which people used to tie under their shoes like ice skates to cross frozen rivers and lakes in winter.
