Coffin Rest and Coffin Decoration

Until the 20th century, Eppendorf had its own municipal cemetery at the junction of Eppendorfer Landstraße/Kümmellstraße. During construction work on the former cemetery grounds in 1950, some pewter coffin fittings came to light and were given to the museum. They tell of the people who had found their final resting place in the cemetery.
